Adewale Oluwaseun Temitope popularly known as “Jones” is an upcoming artist and song writer who hails from Ogun State Nigeria. He was born on February 19, 1996 in Lagos State, Nigeria. He grew up in Ojota, Lagos and attended Alpha plus Nursery and Primary School. He went ahead to attend Jextoban Secondary school Ketu, Lagos and came about the name Jones when he was in secondary school. The brand of the shoe he wore back in school had the name Jones on it and his roommates, friends and classmates adopted the name for him, he however adopted the name as his stage name thereafter. He is a graduate of Accounting from Crawford University. He is the first of three children and developed interest in music at the age of 5. He fell in love with the wordplay of David Craig’s songs back in the days and developed an inseparable love for music. He started singing in secondary school and did a lot of freestyles in the university. He is a talented artist who does not believe in genres but good music. He released his first song “MARS” recently which has been publicized on various blogs, the sound cloud link is below. Jones looks into breaking new grounds in the Nigerian music industry soon, with the vision of letting the world see music from his angle and not just a stereotype of a particular kind of music. His role models in the Nigerian music industry include Wizkid(Ayo Balogun), 2Baba(Innocent idibia) among others.
