J Harrell & Us is a Duo that sounds like a full 8 piece band. Our sound is unique and our performance is entertaining and exciting. We can play a variety of many different genres of music, but our specialties are Blues,classic rock and R&B.
Our Keyboard player J Harrell was born in Richmond, VA. He started playing the piano at age 4. He has played on venues with a host of Grammy Award winning artist and some of the best Blues Artist in the industry. Anyone that Knows James would say music is the air that he breathes.
Our Drummer Rhett Coleman is a Savannah, GA Native. He started playing percussions at the age of 10. After High School moved to Athens, GA and played with local bands at different venues in the Athens area for 8 years. Rhett musical abilities have a variety of ranges but his first love rock music. Beware……. if you have every taken a Savannah Walking ghost tour you may have encountered Rhett playing a different beat. He is a tour guide for one of Savannah’s walking Ghost tours. He loves telling those ghostly tales almost as much as he loves making music.
