Music Bio – Andrew Gowman is an accomplished music producer with an extensive background in live sound and commercial audio production. A versatile artist, he has amassed a portfolio of rock, classical, jazz and electronic recordings in highly regarded studios across Canada and the United Kingdom. Andrew has worked on shows for Mathew Good, ZZ Top, Clint Black, Billy Talent, and Jason Bonham, among many others, over the course of his career. Applying his formal music training, Andrew combines his knowledge of classical composition techniques with contemporary composition styles and advanced harmonies. He is known for his innate talent for sound design and sonic texture, including effects. Andrew specializes in keyboard-based music production and demonstrates a sound knowledge of advanced sax technique on electronic wind instruments. Born and raised in British Columbia, Andrew operates out of his fully equipped home studio on Vancouver Island. He is well-versed in a variety of audio engineering software, including Digital Performer, ProTools, FinalCut Pro, and Finale. In 2005, Andrew founded a record label for the sale and distribution of recordings online, which he successfully operated for seven years. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music from John Moores University in the United Kingdom, as well as diplomas in Interactive Digital Design and Musical Performance. He is a member of the Music Producers Guild, SOCAN, and CONNECT Music Licensing.
